Choices

Sometimes you feel like you don’t have a choice but what you don’t realize is that you always have a choice. You choose your option and sometimes that goes against how you really feel. In those cases, you’ve probably made the decision because it’s easier to just going along with everyone else (you want to fit in, look like everyone else or talk like everyone else), or you don’t want to offend anyone (a group of people, a religion, a deity, a county, etc.), or you don’t want to face the negative consequences (stares, gossips, criticism, physical or emotional abuse), or you know to pick your battles and just go along to get the arguing over with, or sometimes it is life and death (if this is the case you still have a choice but death for most of us isn’t something we are so easy to accept as an option. In this case, it is understandable to want to live). Whatever the reason you chose you should always be true to yourself even if that is the harder option. Picking that harder choice will not be easy. It will take time to get used to putting yourself first, you will face pushback but despite all that be confident with your decision, stand tall, and ignore those who try to make you feel small. Don’t let others dictate how you live your life.
