Synopsis: In the heart of Italy, Harvard professor of symbology Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) is drawn into a harrowing world centered on one of history's most enduring and mysterious literary masterpieces: Dante's Inferno. When he wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Sienna Brooks, a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories. Against this backdrop, Langdon battles a chilling adversary and grapples with an ingenious riddle that pulls him into a landscape of classic art, secret passageways, and futuristic science.

I GIVE THIS MOVIE 7.5 OUT OF 10

My Review:

I really enjoyed this movie. I liked the whole puzzle solving and clue seeking vibe these movies tend to have (The Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons). The setting and visuals are absolutely stunning (Basilica Cistern, Venice, etc.). It was an interesting concept for the villain that the only way to save humanity is to unleash a virus to destroy most of the world's population and then after that humanity will once again thrive (the villain based this on past experiences in human history. For example after the Black plague came the renaissance period, a time of rebirth). Once more Tom Hanks does a great job playing Robert Langdon and Felicity Jones who played Dr. Sienna Brooks did a good job as well.
