Synopsis: Bourne (Matt Damon) remains on the run from CIA hit squads as he tries to uncover hidden truths about his father. CIA Director Robert Dewey (Tommy Lee Jones) orders the CIA head of cyber-security Heather Lee (Alicia Vikander) to hunt him down.

I GIVE THIS MOVIE 6.5 OUT OF 10.

My Review:

As part of the Bourne film franchise this movie was by far the weakest of the 4 (not including the Bourne Legacy). The plot was tired and there wasn't really anything significantly added to Bourne's backstory or the program. There was a side story involving Riz Ahmed as the founder of a social media enterprise that was working with the CIA and it felt that this side plot took away from the main narrative. However, the action remained just as good. In regards to the characters Matt Damon flawlessly fell back into the role of Bourne and delivered a great performance. Alicia Vikander put on a weird American/Irish accent that was incredibly distracting and unappealing. Even Julia Stiles who had a brief cameo seemed to have a weird accent. Overall, it was an entertaining movie but didn't live up to the Bourne franchise.
