Updating a Dresser

So I've had my dresser since I was very young and I decided to update it from ideas I saw on Pintrest. What I decided to do was line the drawers and line the outside sides of the drawers with really nice paper. After finishing I decided that I probably wouldn't do it again and I'm still looking for other ways to improve my dresser. Regardless I have written below what I ended up doing. As I went through the process I found I got the hang out it and improved.
Materials:
-a ruler
-school glue/regular white glue
-water
-paint brush or sponge brush
-3 paper rolls for the inside (I used K & Company paper roll, which was $1.50 from Dollarama)
-3 paper sheets for the outside
Instructions:
-Measure the inside on the drawers (the bottom, front, back, sides) and the sides of the drawers.
-Cut out the pieces on the paper, labeling the pieces as you go.
-Since the back of my paper wasn't sticky I had to make homemade mod podge. I used a bottle of white glue and whatever amount of glue was in the container, I took a quarter of that amount of water and mixed together.
-I dipped the sponge brush in the glue/water mixture and spread it over the dresser. I then placed the paper in the drawer, lining it up on the top so that any extras could have been overlapped further inside the drawer (I did this to avoid trimming any paper sticking outside of the drawer.
-I lined the inside of the drawers first and then did the sides of the drawers.
-You could also apply the glue/water mixture to the top of the paper as you stick it down to help it stick better.Make sure you press down and smooth the paper out (a card is useful for this part).
