Synopsis: Two policemen (Colm Feore, Patrick Huard) from different Canadian provinces must work together to solve a crime.
I GIVE THIS MOVIE 7 OUT OF 10.
My Review:
This movie was pretty hilarious. It made fun of Canadian culture (obsession with hockey) in such a light way that even Canadians can laugh at all the references and humor. The relationship between Quebec detective David Bouchard (Patrick Huard) and Ontario detective Martin Ward (Colm Feore) was refreshing (yes I know this is ironic cause the movie is old and you would think a more recent movie would have a refreshing police dynamic). They were both polar opposites and yet compatible with one another. I especially liked their back and forth ripping on one another. I didn't mind the bilingualism of the movie but not expect to multitask while watching this movie unless you are bilingual. I found myself looking away when they were speaking English only for them to switch suddenly to French that I missed what was said. It is your typical crime drama with lots of detective work, following leads, and decent action scenes.
Note: There is a sequel being released in May 2017.
