Synopsis: People commit unthinkable acts every day. Time and again, we grapple to understand what drives a person to do such terrible things. But what if all of the questions we're asking are wrong? What if the cause of all evil is not a matter of what, but who? When three college friends stumble upon the horrific origins of the Bye Bye Man, they discover that there is only one way to avoid his curse: don't think it, don't say it. But once the Bye Bye Man gets inside your head, he takes control.

I GIVE THIS MOVIE 5.5 OUT OF 10.

My Review:

This movie has a terrific concept. Once a person gets an idea into their head it can never leave. No matter how hard you try to forget the idea you can't. It is stuck in your head and it warps how you see the world. Once you mention the idea to another person than it because traps in their mind as well. This is the concept for the Bye Bye Man and in the end the only way they figure to end the idea and to stop it from spreading is to destroy all evidence of it (that involves some killing as well). However, despite having a great premise this movie lacked considerably. It wasn't scary, the Bye Bye Man himself didn't actually do anything threatening, there was no backstory behind the Bye Bye Man, and there wasn't any real motive behind why the Bye Bye Man wanted people to just go around killing each other and spreading his name.
