Synopsis: Now that Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) and his girlfriend, Rose (Allison Williams), have reached the meet-the-parents milestone of dating, she invites him for a weekend getaway upstate with Missy and Dean. At first, Chris reads the family's overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter's interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he never could have imagined.
I RATE THIS MOVIE 7 OUT OF 10.
My Review:
This movie was interesting. I did find that it made a lot of assumptions on coloured culture because not every coloured person acts in a stereotypical way but I do understand that they were portraying a particular coloured lifestyle. Throughout the movie you will try to figure out what exactly is going on and you definitely feel paranoid along with the main character Chris. Daniel Kaluuya as Chris does a great job and he handles things like a badass in the end. There is a surprising twist at the end and one character in particular does a disturbing 360 in terms of personality. Overall the movie is an intriguing mystery that is very different than others in its' genre.
