Ant-man and the Wasp
Synopsis: Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) is grappling with the consequences of his choices as both a superhero and a father. Approached by Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), Lang must once again don the Ant-Man suit and fight alongside the Wasp. The urgent mission soon leads to secret revelations from the past as the dynamic duo finds itself in an epic battle against a powerful new enemy (Hannah John-Kamen).
I RATE THIS MOVIE 6.5 OUT OF 10.
My Review:
What I like about this movie is that it isn't an origin story. We have already been introduced to Ant-man and know what he is capable of so there isn't any time dwelt on rehashing things. Also, Scott is a regular guy doing heroic things and Ant-man isn't really all that super-powered which is a nice change. However, given all that, you never really feel like there is much of a threat if he doesn't succeed and the stakes don't feel very high. The movie is still very funny and the villain, Ghost is pretty cool.
