Synopsis: In 1843 London, author Charles Dickens (Dan Stevens) finds himself in financial trouble after writing three unsuccessful novels in a row. Desperate for a hit, Dickens relies on real-life inspiration and his vivid imagination to bring Ebenezer Scrooge, Tiny Tim and other classic characters to life in "A Christmas Carol," forever changing the holiday season into the celebration known today.
I RATE THIS MOVIE 7.5 OUT OF 10.
My Review:
So I decided to watch a holiday movie out of the season and it made me extremely happy. It added joy to the time when there is a lull in holidays. It was neat seeing how Charles Dickens came up with all his ideas for the book, where he drew inspiration from, and his motivations behind writing the book. As a writer it was also neat seeing how his writing process worked. It was a lovely movie and perfect for Christmas.
