Synopsis: A massive creature attacks a deep-sea submersible, leaving it disabled and trapping the crew at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. With time running out, rescue diver Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) must save the crew and the ocean itself from an unimaginable threat -- a 75-foot-long prehistoric shark known as the Megalodon.

I RATE THIS MOVIE 6.5 OUT OF 10.

My Review:

So this movie gives you exactly what you expect of a shark movie; a shark on the loose threatening lives and the character's attempts to stop it. The movie only differs with the size of the shark. I did like the little backstory about the exploration of where the shark originally came from. Also, there is a neat little twist half way through but it's at that point where you might suspect that the twist was coming. The movie did manage to add some suspense every time the characters were searching for the shark underwater and you knew the shark was there but didn't know when it was coming (definitely nerve wracking). I thought the acting was okay (the actors weren't given much) but my partner thought otherwise. The little girl in this movie is extremely cute and Jason Statham does his typical action star moves. Overall it's not the best shark movie but it is entertaining. The movie knows this and doesn't take itself too seriously either.
